ITN hires Blinkx to deliver ads

LONDON - ITN has employed video search engine Blinkx to deliver relevant video ads across all the news provider's content.

Blinkx's video advertising platform AdHoc, which scans videos to determine the theme of the content before delivering a relevant video ad, will be deployed throughout ITN's web offering.

The agreement marks an extension in the relationship between the two firms: Blinkx has already made ITN's video content searchable through its search engine, attaching ads to monetise the news provider's content.

The extent of the deal will see video ads delivered on all sites with an ITN presence, including social network Bebo.
