The Professional Practice scheme launches this month. Under it, students studying for their Masters degree in events and conference management will be tasked with investigating an issue or problem determined by an ISES member on their behalf. The results of the research will include recommendations that are relevant to the business and its needs.
James Morgan, director of education at ISES UK, said the partnership will provide ISES members with an insight into an area or issue in which they may find hard to resource.
"Our industry is made up of small medium and large organisations all of which have resource constraints," he said. "By taking advantage of this free of charge resource members will be provided with the knowledge on how to be more efficient, profitable and professional so as to create competitive advantage for themselves and ISES UK as a whole."
Claire Humphreys at the University of Westminster added: "ISES is active in its support of events education and was a natural choice for the university when looking to develop our industry collaborations. This project is designed to provide a resource of direct value to companies in the events industry while developing the skills and employability of our postgraduate students."
