No Messin鈥 Live 2007 ran throughout July and August and visited 12 hot spots such as Bristol, Glasgow, Felton and Sheffield. It encouraged children aged nine to 16 to take up activities such as climbing, football, arts, crafts, DJ-ing and dance instead.
Iris deployed 鈥榟it-squads鈥 to promote event activity in local communities, as well as setting up partnerships with brands such as Toni and Guy, Pineapple and White Chalk Music.
Network Rail鈥檚 railway crime education manager, Ian Chapman, said: 鈥淭he young people who play on the railway do so because they think they鈥檝e got nothing else to do.鈥
