Daw, who takes up her role with immediate effect, joined IPC in 1992 as a marketing assistant on specialist titles within the classic car, gardening and woodworking sectors, moving in 1994 to the marine titles, first as a marketing executive and then as marketing manager. She was later promoted to publisher of the Country & Leisure Media sailing portfolio.
Paul Williams, acting managing director of IPC Country & Leisure Media, said: "Over the last few years the successful relaunch of Yachting Monthly and Practical Boat Owner have ensured both circulation and profit growth, and the brand development work on Yachting World culminates with a stunning relaunch in May. Jessica's understanding of the market and her skills in developing our brands mean that this promotion is richly deserved."
The country and leisure division also appointed Nicia Carter-Johnson as assistant publisher on its marine portfolio, which includes Yachting World and Yachting Monthly, last month. She was formerly marketing manager on Web User and Hi-Fi News.
