The six core sites IPC will focus on are NME.com, countrylife.co.uk, horseandhound.co.uk, decanter. com, web-user.co.uk and the online version of Yachting and Boating World, ybw.com.
As reported earlier on Brand Republic, NME.com has been trimmed substantially as part of the review, resulting in the axing of channel editors and producers, as well as some technical staff.
Although Unmissbletv.com's consumer-facing website has been closed, the site's business-to-business digital services will remain, "driven by the database and search facility for the IPC tx portfolio", IPC said in a statement.
Sly Bailey, IPC chief executive, said, "This review has clearly identified where the commercial and strategic opportunities lie for our business and IPC is now moving forward with a smaller, yet stronger and robust portfolio of digital brands on which we can drive future profit growth."
The review comes on the heels of the announcement that IPC is being acquired by AOL Time Warner's publishing division Time Inc.
