Insiders' Guide: Bounty.com

Our 11-strong team handles agency sales for www.bounty.com, which isn't a website for a chocolate bar or a kitchen roll. It's the UK's biggest parenting website and online portal for Bounty, the UK's favourite parenting club.

Insiders' Guide: Bounty.com

We get brands "in the family way", and our site provides information, support and products for young families throughout the four stages of pregnancy, birth, toddlers and pre-school.

Who does what?

Kim Ludlow is our head of digital, supported by three digital sales managers: Stuart Heffernan, Siyenne Wright and Lara Schonburger. Our four account managers are Mary Knockton, Hilary Umeh, Isabel Hopkins and Sarah Crossley. The team is completed by our two ad operations staff, Damien Nogaledo and Andrew Cooke, and our traffic manager Laura Vile.

How would you describe the team?

The original team of four expanded to 11 over the summer, so we have all been living and breathing our own Big Brother experience. Thankfully, the only Friday night eviction is when Kim tells us it's time to clear off to the pub.

What is the office atmosphere like?

The office is intense, high pressure and a hive of heated debate. In fact, it is not dissimilar to a bingo hall - it is all eyes down and then very often someone shouts "House" or "New balls please". We also have a weekly count of how many times we have explained to a client who is not a parent that we are the UK's leading parenting website and not a coconut-flavoured chocolate bar.

What stands you apart from the rest of the industry?

Our target audience of 750,000 new or expectant mums is nuts about us. They have an average dwell time of 18 minutes on the site, download 8,000 podcasts a day and make more than 18,000 daily posts on our forums.

What does it take to get a job in your team?

New starters have to be new business-driven and must want to educate the marketplace on an innovative website that reaches an audience that spends loads of cash.

How are staff encouraged to hit targets?

A great bonus scheme. Team lunches and caseloads of champers are thrown in the mix for the most meetings booked or the most innovative campaigns.

Where do you all let your hair down?

Places you may find us in on the odd Thursday night/Friday afternoon range from the swanky Soho Lounge, to the rough and ready Nellie Dean or The Toucan for a pint of the black stuff. The Crown and Two Chairmen on Dean Street in Soho is a particular favourite on a Friday lunchtime/evening.
