Innocent's latest NPD initiative is the launch of ‘Squeezies', as Marketing first reported in February.
‘Squeezies' have been manufactured for children as a snack, rather than a drink product and is packaged in a 40ml tubes. Made from 100% crushed fruit, in a smooth, squeezable puree they contain no artificial colourings, additives, preservatives or added sugar. According to a spokeswoman for Innocent it is ‘ideal for school lunchboxes or as an after school treat.'
The tubes, which are available in six packs, broaden Innocent's food offering, which includes Veg Pots.
Separately Tropicana, which is owned by PepsiCo, has re-launched its children juice range Tropicana Go! As Tropicana Kids! The drink range which is available from stores now is available in a one-litre carton in strawberry & raspberry and apple & blackcurrant flavours, as well as the usual 200ml sports bottles.
It is understood that there will be an above-the-line campaign during the summer holidays to promote the brand before children return to school. Tropicana Go! first launched in 2006.
