Ingram expands into US with Consumer Dynamics acquisition

LONDON – Strategic consultancy firm Ingram has acquired new product development firm Consumer Dynamics in the US, marking the opening of its first international office.

Consumer Dynamics is a 12-year-old company specialising in product innovation and trends. The company experienced 53% growth in 2004 and has worked for leading brands including Gillette, Diageo, Starbucks and Pepsi.

Managing partners Nancy Schaefer and Sybil Wailand are to join Ingram International's board.

The 11-strong New York team will work alongside Ingram London to add enhanced product development and a US marketplace perspective to Ingram London's communications and brand strategy work.

Chris Ingram, Ingram founder and chief executive, said: "Consumer Dynamics has a tremendous list of multinational clients and we're confident that between us we will win more global projects as a result of this development."

Ingram was founded in August 2003 as The Ingram Partnership and immediately acquired three companies: Unity, The Gathering and Butterfield8. In July this year it was renamed Ingram.

Clients include the London 2012 Olympic bid team, British Airways, Mercedes-Benz, COI Communications, BT, Twentieth Century Fox and the Co-operative Group, Thinkbox and Diageo.
