In his new role, Downer will be responsible for developing new and existing business, as well as building strategic relationships and new products and services to meet client needs.
"I have a great deal of respect for the success that Information Arts has achieved to date. I am most looking forward to making a major contribution to the development of Information Arts' portfolio of services and supporting clients and prospects," Downer said.
Downer joined Identex in 2000 as client relationship director, and held the post of marketing and partnerships director in 2002 until now. Before that, he held a number of roles in marketing services companies and in the early 90s headed up database marketing systems and services for NatWest.
Simon Lawrence, joint managing director of Information Arts, said: "Geoff Downer has a superb mix of marketing and technology skills, combined with the acute ability to discuss client issues and solutions with them in plain English."
