Yonish will be responsible for control of the Independent Solutions work while Antonowicz, a former business development manager at Avanti, will look after the day-to-day management and development of the business.
The appointments come following reports that The Independent spent around £6m developing its tabloid format, helping the two Indy titles to a loss of £15m last year.
Former Mail on Sunday ad director Barnes was appointed commercial director of The Independent in August. He replaced Lawrie Procter, who quit to join sales house MediaForce.
According to Barnes: "These changes will significantly strengthen our capabilities. Keith is an extremely talented member of our team and he will be instrumental in helping to shape The Independent's new and more dynamic approach to new business development."
He said he was delighted that Antonowicz was joining and said she would have an impact on new business.
"Suzan's skill and tenacity in the field of new business will help create many new and exciting opportunities," he said.
In the latest set of figures from the Audit Bureau of Circulations, The Independent increased its sales by 0.2% to 262,086 copies. Its circulation was up 17% year on year.
