
Ellwood, who has been managing director at the London Bridge based venue for the past three years after leaving his role as head of event at the Natural History Museum, is departing to pursue other interests.
He explained: "I'm extremely proud to have served the Vinopolis Board and to have achieved such success in making Vinopolis the fun and engaging visitor attraction and corporate events space it is today. I feel that this is the right time to leave for my next career move."
Wineworld London chairman Sandy Anderson added: In his time as the managing director, Rupert has introduced new and exciting events.He has also overseen the granting of planning permission for our future development plans. On behalf of shareholders, I would like to thank Rupert for his hard work and dedication in making Vinopolis one of London's most coveted venues."
His successor will be announced in due course.
