The Indesit Moon ad, based on a concept created by Ogilvy, is set in an imagined future, taking viewers to a time where robots are fully integrated into human society.
Moon's intelligent technology is likened to these robots, highlighting that one touch is all you need to set programmes. A New Order song, 'Hey now, what you doing', plays throughout the ad to capture the mood.
The campaign, which launches on July 2, will see a £2m media spend, with advertising across TV in the UK and Ireland, as well as PR, outdoor, press, online and in-store advertising, together with cinema advertising alongside the film Oceans 13.
Ian Moverley, Indesit company brand manager, said: "We are extremely excited about the new Indesit campaign as it is very different to traditional white goods advertising, and we believe a real first for this market.
"It truly gives us the opportunity to showcase Indesit as a modern, innovative brand that consumers can embrace."
The campaign was shot on location in New York and Milan, produced by 1st Ave Machine USA and Enormous Films, and directed by Arvind Palep, Serge Patzak and Riccardo Paoletti.
'Hey now, what you doing', is the second song by New Order to be featured in a TV ad, after 'Blue Monday' was used in an ad for Mars earlier this year.
