Indesit supports renaming on TV

Indesit is to run its first UK TV ad campaign for four years to support a raft of new products and highlight its name change.

The white-goods giant rebranded in January. It ditched the name Merloni Elettrodomestici in favour of Indesit as it sought to improve brand recognition amid European expansion.

The ads, created by Ogilvy & Mather in Milan, launch in July. They will run throughout the summer as part of an ongoing £1m investment in the brand.

One execution will showcase Indesit's Graffiti fridge, which is aimed at busy families and couples. The fridge has an external coating, which can be written on using Indesit marker pens stored on the fridge door.

Indesit's other brands include Ariston and Hotpoint.
