The show is the largest art fair to launch in London in more than a decade. It will return to Olympia from 28 February to 2 March 2014.
Art13 London presented 129 galleries from 30 countries, 70% of which were showing at an art fair in London for the first time. The exhibition attracted collectors and buyers from London, Asia Pacific, the US, Middle East and Europe, and drew museum directors from the Tate, Saatchi Gallery, the Serpentine, and the Daegu Art Museum in South Korea.
Several famous names were also in attendance, including photographer Mario Testino, celebrity chefs James Martin and Rick Stein, and McLaren executive chairman Ron Dennis.
One of the highlights of the fair was a private museum summit – an invite-only event which brought together an international group of curators. The aim of the summit was to develop a network among private museums across the world.
The fair also featured a programme of performance art taking place every hour over three days. A dedicated booth showcased 17 performances by international artists, representing the range of contemporary performance art being produced today.
Tim Etchells, co-founder of Art13 London, said: "We are thrilled that the inaugural edition of the fair has been such a tremendous success. We have had fantastic feedback from visitors and exhibitors alike, who have enjoyed the unparalleled opportunity to see and learn about the extraordinary quality and variety of art produced across the globe. We look forward to working on the second edition of the fair next year and continuing our global commitment to art."
