The new initiative is a global programme that centres on three areas: an internship scheme for new talent, employee training and development and new academic partnerships with education experts across the Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific regions.

It aims to highlight Imagination’s commitment to education, creativity and commerce.

A total of 30 internship programmes will be on offer across the three regions, as well as 20 work placements.

The Imagination Academy will launch by sponsoring the inaugural Donaldson Lecture at University College London’s Bartlett School of Architecture. Taking place tomorrow (13 January), the talk will be delivered by artist Grayson Perry and is the first in a series of special events celebrating 175 years of architectural education at the school.

The Imagination Academy will partner with the The Bartlett School of Architecture to award bursaries to some of the institute’s outstanding new talent later in the year.

Douglas Broadley, Imagination’s group chief executive and global creative director, said: "This collaboration with The Bartlett School of Architecture is a great launch event for the Imagination Academy and will be the first of many collaborations between Imagination and some of the most creative, innovative and respected academic institutions across the globe."

Bob Sheil, director of The Bartlett School of Architecture, added: "We’re proud that the new Imagination Academy is sponsoring the first event in our 175 series. Imagination shares with us a desire to nurture new talent and this collaboration will be a great opportunity for our students to forge successful and fulfilling careers in the creative industry."
