I'm a Celeb... gets second hospital casualty in a week

LONDON - 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' saw its second casualty in less than a week after former 'Neighbours' actress Kimberly Davies had to be airlifted to hospital after cracking a rib during a bushtucker trial.

The Australian star suffered a cracked rib and concussion when she landed awkwardly after jumping 30ft from a helicopter into water to collect meals for the camp.

Davies was left dazed and in agonising pain after the failed challenge and it is not known whether she will return to camp.

The incident is a further embarrassment to ITV because it comes just days after former 'EastEnders' actress Elaine Lordan was taken to hospital after fainting twice on the show. ITV producers told the star not to rejoin the camp despite being given a clean bill of health by doctors.

Meanwhile, ITV claims Davies' injuries were her own fault because she did not follow the show's safety instructions when jumping from the helicopter.

"Kimberly had been given a full safety briefing beforehand when she was told that she must keep her arms down at her sides and her legs straight when entering the water," a statement from the show's makers Granada read.

Despite the bushtucker trial being stopped short, the camp were awarded seven meals for Davies and fellow contestant Sheree Murphy's attempts, despite the duo only collecting three stars.

Meanwhile wine expert Jilly Goolden was the second contestant to be voted off the show last night.

On hearing the news, Goolden said: "Hooray, I'm ready for it. I want to go," before hugging her campmates and asking them all "How will you manage without me?".

During her eviction interview, the self-confessed mum of the camp told Ant and Dec she did not have a problem with antiques expert David Dickinson, whom she branded "a dick" the day before and praised Carol Thatcher for her camaraderie during their bushtucker trial where Goolden had to eat a kangaroo penis.

Goolden follows Bobby Ball, half of the 80s light-entertainment duo Cannon & Ball. His partner Tommy Cannon is still in the jungle.
