An ITV spokesman said: "Knowing what challenges lie ahead in the show, ITV has decided to err on the side of caution and Elaine has reluctantly agreed to withdraw."
The 39-year-old actress passed out on her first day in camp, during a jungle trek with fellow contestants Carol Thatcher, daughter of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, and former 'Emmerdale' actress Sheree Murphy.
Lordan, who played mouthy character Lynne Hobbs in the BBC One soap, was revived after her first fall, but collapsed a second time the following day and was admitted to hospital.
On last night's show, Lordan, who was given a clean bill of health by Australian doctors, said: "The walking was really tough, you can't imagine. The tightrope was hard work.
"Partly, I think it's tiredness, jet lag and hunger. I'm really gutted but I don't think I'm what you'd call a natural camper. I don't think I'll ever go camping again, never."
The actress left 'EastEnders' in July 2004 after rows with show bosses about her drinking.
'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!', now in its fifth series, pulled in 9.4m viewers on its opening night on Sunday and 9.9m viewers on Monday night.
