Comic Con, an American event, will be held in the UK for the first time in April. The San Diego event hosts an estimated 140,000 visitors. Comic Con events in New York and San Francisco also attract high numbers.
Held at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London, the event gives publishers and studios an opportunity to reveal exclusive material from new comics, films, TV shows and games.
IGN will be housing a specific area within the event, named the IGN Arena, which will allow publishers and film studios to display new Blu-Ray and gaming releases.
Celebrities Jonathan Ross and Frankie Boyle will make appearances at the event, with panels created by industry publishers DC and Marvel.
