The Ideal Home Show has pulled in 51,000 visitors (pre-audit) in its first three days compared to 10,000 last year, according to its new owners.

The revamped exhibition, which was bought by Media 10 from DMG last August, has taken over two floors of Earls Court's main event space and been split into eight distinct sections this year to increase the visitor experience.

Media 10 marketing manager Rob Nathan said the main problem the organisers faced so far was too much interest, with 23,000 people visiting on the first day causing something of a crush at the West London event space.

The show is running for its 102nd year, and this year appears to be arresting a recent slide in attendance.

Celebrities such as Gregg Wallace, Phil Vickery and Monty Don are appearing at the event, which runs until 5 April.
