Dmg World Media has launched an autumn version of the Ideal Home Show in response to growing demands from exhibitors. The event will run at Earls Court, London from 3-12 October. It will differ from the spring exhibition by featuring more home improvement and furnishing exhibitors and fewer outdoor and fashion exhibits. Just under half of the stand space available has already been sold. Dmg expects about 250 exhibitors. Dmg show manager Sarah Stoddart said: 鈥淥ur exhibitors in the furniture sector have been demanding an autumn show for some time and this new exhibition will give visitors ideas for the Christmas season.鈥 The Autumn Ideal Home Show will feature a full-scale house with room-mates, a demonstration theatre, and a Taste Tunnel featuring seasonal food and drink. Exhibitors at the spring show, which starts this month and runs until 6 April, will be able to sign up to the new event at a discounted price. Stoddart was tight-lipped on whether Dmg would create regional versions of the show outside the capital but added that the organiser was 鈥渁lways looking at opportunities to develop business鈥. 鈥he centrepiece at this month鈥檚 Daily Mail Ideal Home Show features a 16-metre high obelisk. The Tower of Time will look at British architecture from the past, present and future.
