Payne has experience of launching and growing major international events, working with Clarion and UBM. His role will be to build the international dimension of the business through smart acquisition, geo-adapting key brands and building the global infrastructure.
As international sales director, Stoter will work alongside Payne to further internationalise the portfolio of events by increasing exhibitor and buyer numbers around the world. Stoter has more than 15 years experience working in Asia and Europe for companies including Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs and UBM.
i2i says China is key area for new launches and brand cloning, while further investments will be made in Turkey, the USA, India, Benelux and Scandinavia. It also plans to focus development on mainland Europe, aiming to increase sales from France, Italy, Germany and Spain by partnering with local sales agents.
Mark Shashoua, chief executive of i2i Events Group said the hires were "invaluable" for the group’s international focus. "We have already started an exciting programme of international development for the i2i portfolio, whilst continuing with our focus on delivering operational excellence for visitors and exhibitors and on investing in excellent content," he commented.
