The ‘Go Active' brand is a joint venture between self-catering holiday specialists Hoseasons and Sport England.
Hoseasons is working with national sporting bodies such as Archery GB and British Fencing to offer affordable lessons in such activities.
Other offers in the ‘Go Active' range include ‘Ready Steady Go' gymnastics events for young children and ‘Go Wild' activities such as white-water rafting for young adults.
To receive backing from the Change4Life programme, Hoseasons has agreed to help families to find their local sporting centres, should they wish to continue to participate in the activity.
‘There is an increasing demand for meaningful holidays and in the build up to 2012 there will be an increasing focus on health and fitness,' said Hoseasons chief executive, Richard Carrick.
The programme will launch in 2010 at five flagship ‘Go-Active' sites in the Scottish Highlands, South Devon, East Sussex, Snowdonia and the Isle of Wight.
