Hoseasons contact centre goes it alone in MBO

LONDON - Hoseasons Marketing Services, the customer contact and telemarketing centre, has broken away from the boating holiday specialist Hoseasons in a management buyout that sees it set up as a standalone business.

Hoseasons Marketing Systems is relaunching as Phonetics, following the buyout by its founder Richard Overy, who set up the division 18 years ago.

The company handles around 3m calls a year and has annual turnover of 拢2m from clients including Readers Digest, Honda, Bhs, the Royal British Legion, NSPCC and the GMB Union.

Overy will work alongside account director Samantha Starbuck to double turnover at the company in the next five years.

"This [buyout] will give us the freedom to make the investment necessary for the extra services that our clients are increasingly requesting. We are already investing 拢250,000 in new equipment to enable us to expand what we offer."

The company has won 11 new accounts in the past year. As well as media response, the company provides other services for its clients including admin and finance services; warranty validations; and outbound campaigns for membership and subscription renewals.
