Honda returns to supplement market with weekend Telegraph

LONDON - Honda is returning to the newspaper supplement market after a year's absence with a Christmas push in the Daily Telegraph and The Guardian.

Honda branded the polybag for last Saturday's Guardian weekend edition, and is doing the same for the Daily Telegraph polybags on Christmas Eve, with the image of a Honda-branded hot-air balloon and the legend, "Can impossible dreams happen?"

The polybags will go out with almost 800,000 copies of the Christmas Saturday Telegraph, and are an extension of Honda's 'power of dreams' campaign created by Wieden & Kennedy.

Gemma Bourne, Honda press buyer at Starcom, said: "This kind of activity provides the 'wow' factor that differentiates Honda from its competitors. It's always good for a brand to be able to have the opportunity to maximise creative solutions."

Starcom has yet to confirm any wider press market activity for Honda, and is waiting on briefs from the client, a Telegraph spokeswoman said.
