Nutbourne Vineyard, Sussex
This May the Gladwin brothers, who are behind The Shed and Rabbit restaurant in London, will be opening their family-run vineyards to the public in Pulborough, offering wine tastings and allowing customers to see how the grape goes from the vine, to the bottle and finally to tables of The Shed and Rabbit. Of course, there is an events space on site. Nestled within the vines is a timber wine lodge for up to 50 people. There is also a marquee for groups of up to 60, and an old windmill with a balcony offering 360-degree views of the vineyard.
Chapter One, Kent
Touches of Italian Arabesco marble and antique mirrors adorn the walls of this fine dining restaurant in Locksbottom, near Bromley, following a £70k refurb. Its private dining room on the first floor has a seating capacity of up to 55 people and comes with its own cloakroom and private bar. Handily, the restaurant does not charge room hire for groups of more than 20 people.
