The series, '4Music Sundays', will be shown on The Hits on Sunday evenings from 5pm from March 2 to May 4. It is being described as the first major music tie-up for the two channels since Emap sold a stake in The Box Television to Channel 4 in July last year.
Emap sold a 50% stake in the long-running cable music channel, which was Emap's first venture into music television in the 1990s, with a view to developing the stable of seven established digital stations, including The Hits and The Box, as well as expanding its digital offering.
The programme will feature some of the biggest live concerts of last year, including performances by Take That, Christina Aguilera and Kylie Minogue, and will premier the fourth series of 'The Shockwaves Album Chart Show'.
Channel 4 said the series would feature music catering for fans across pop, rock, urban and indie genres.
Neil McCallum, head of music at Channel 4, said: "4Music Sundays will be drawing on Channel 4's extensive music output, which combined with the hottest videos should make for an unmissable mix of Sunday night entertainment."
