
Average budgets have also increased by 12% over the period, meanwhile booking dates have remained fairly consistent.
Christmas bookings commenced in January, however the most popular period to book a Christmas party is between June and October, when 86% of people look to secure a venue.
Hire Space has found that 10 and 11 December are the most popular dates in which took book a Christmas party – the same as last year.
Event planners are looking for unique spaces this Christmas, with the likes of Shakespeare’s Globe and Carousel receiving the most enquiries via the company’s website.
Ruth Fussell, senior venue expert at Hire Space, said: "We always urge people to book early if they want to secure their dream venue and date, but we also don’t want them to despair if they’ve left it late; you can still create a great party even at this late stage, you just have to be more flexible."
