Hewlett-Packard appoints Martin Homlish as CMO

Hewlett-Packard has appointed Martin Homlish as executive vice-president and chief marketing officer.

He replaces . Hewlett-Packard declined to provide further details on his departure.

Homlish joins from SAP AG, the software brand, where he worked for 10 years, most recently occupying the roles of global chief marketing officer and corporate officer. He was also president and chief executive of SAP global marketing.

Prior to SAP AG, Homlish spent 15 years at Sony Corporation holding roles including head of Sony Corporate Marketing Services division, and president of Sony’s Media Solutions Company.

He will be responsible for leading marketing across the company, which is in the process of moving its focus beyond hardware, to cloud computing services.

Homlish will report to Hewlett-Packard's new chief executive, Léo Apotheker, who was also previously at SAP.
