Named Hendrick’s Extraordinary Roving Bus of Exceptionally Refined Travel, or Herbert for short, the bus will provide a place for commuters to escape the mayhem of London's busy transport system between the hours of 4pm and 9pm from 21-29 July. Hendrick's gin and tonics with cucumber, gin-based cocktails and cucumber macaroons will be served on board.
It has been provided by 'Ministry for Marginally Superior Transport' – a fictional bureau set up to remedy the 'ills' associated with London’s transport system.
Passengers will be able to board for £2.50 at designated Hendrick’s stops on Victoria Street, Westminster (SW1E 5NT), Southbank (SE1 8XT), Theobalds Road, Holborn (WC1X 8SP) or Euston Road, Kings Cross (NW1 2SX).
The campaign will be amplified via the Hendrick’s UK Facebook and Twitter accounts, with passengers invited to share their travel woes or triumphs with a tweet to @HendricksGinUK using #HendricksMinistry. The best (or in some cases the worst) will receive a Hendrick’s gift or personalised message from the Ministry.
Fans of the brand can also visit Mayfair venue Mr Fogg's, where
