Equifax data derives from address moves and deaths recorded across the company's many databases, responding to the urgency of reporting bereavements and address changes in the financial services sector.
HelpIT has incorporated Equifax's Disconnect Goneaways file into its own SuppressIT module, which it says is compatible with all other suppression files on the market.
Graham Arrowsmith, Equifax market development director, said the move responded to the need to eliminate inaccuracies and unwanted mail.
"In line with the DMA's new consumer charter to reduce unwanted mail, HelpIT shares Equifax's mission to eliminate inaccuracies in databases so direct marketing efforts are as cost-effective and precisely targeted as possible," he said.
Chris Cuffe, HelpIT managing director, said: "Suppression is essential for maintaining brand integrity and eliminating irritation and distress for people who receive mail for previous occupants or lost loved ones."
SuppressIT is part of a data cleansing suite that includes deduplication, address correction and Mailsort.
