The site will carry display ads and Haymarket has signed advertising deals with clients including Nicholas Recruitment, John Gibson Associates and Perfect Placement.
March ABCe figures show that Pistonheads.com had 1,943,093 unique users, while autocar.co.uk has 403,261 unique users. "There is a ready-and-waiting audience of 2.3 million," said ad director Russell Whitehouse. The new site aims to have 30,000 unique users of its own by the beginning of October.
