Haymarket to launch new magazine for iPod generation

LONDON - Haymarket Publishing is launching a monthly entertainment title aimed at a 'tech-savvy, iPod-toting' audience and has moved Stuff editor Tom Dunmore and art editor Paul Mitchell across to work on the new title.

Details of editorial content are strictly under wraps, although it has been revealed that the title will launch in the autumn.

Oliver Irish, currently specials editor on Stuff, will take over as editor. Irish joined the magazine earlier this year as specials editor with responsibility for supplements and the magazine's website. He was previously deputy editor of Observer Sport Monthly.

Martyn Jones, publisher for Stuff magazine, also relinquishes his responsibility to become launch publisher of the new title. Eddie Johnson, publishing manager, will take over until a replacement is found.

Dunmore said: "This is an immensely exciting opportunity to create a new type of magazine. Haymarket is making a clear commitment to dynamic 21st century publishing with this project, and I'm confident it will be a huge success."

Separately, Haymarket recently announced that Stuff was to be launched in Thailand and the Philippines, following Haymarket signing two more licensing agreements in Asia.
