
Gibson is currently chief executive of The Whitehall & Industry Group (WIG), a not-for-profit membership organisation established to promote better understanding between the public and private sectors.
Prior to joining WIG, Gibson was a civil servant, and his career included roles in the Department of Trade and Industry, the Treasury and the Cabinet Office.
Gibson is also chair of St Katharine and Shadwell Trust, a charity that helps the underprivileged in Tower Hamlets.
He also spent two years at the London Business School and had business attachments with Pilkingtons and Courtaulds Textiles.
He joins Lord Peter Levene as a non-executive director of Haymarket Group.
