AberdeenGroup offers market information and services in 17 areas, preparing reports based on primary research and benchmarking data from more than 25,000 companies.
The reports cover technology applications for areas such as sales and marketing, retail and financial services.
Harte-Hanks, which recently acquired the Bristol-based data firm Global Address, said AberdeenGroup fit in with its business because it would help expand its Ci Technology Database, which tracks technology infrastructure in the Americas and Europe.
Gary Skidmore, corporate officer and senior vice-president of Harte-Hanks, said: "The results of Aberdeen's intelligence -- fact-based reports on current marketplace experiences and trends -- are used to generate qualified leads by its clients, and we believe this intelligence will assist our clients significantly in their own marketing efforts."
Harte-Hanks is based in San Antonio, Texas, but AberdeenGroup will maintain its office in Boston, Massachusetts. Jamie Bedard will continue to run AberdeenGroup with the title managing director.
