The property suffered extensive fire and water damage to a section of the east wing, but the owners have been able to reopen the central and west wing, which houses 88 of the bedrooms.
They took the opportunity to redecorate and newly carpet the lobby and most of the public areas while the hotel was shut.
It is hoped that restoration of thenorth and south lounges and the main dining room will be completed in November, just in time for Christmas.
The renovation of the damaged section is expected to be finished by April 2011.
More than 50 staff, many of whom have been working at other Barceló hotels in the meantime, have now returned to work.
"It's fantastic to have the team back and we are thrilled to be reopening the hotel in time for the autumn season, always popular with business and leisure guests," said Barceló Harrogate Majestic Hotel general manager Vince Johnson.
"We already have lots of bookings from our regular guests, pleased to see us open again, and our first conference arrives on Tuesday. We will also be playing our part in the British Bridal Exhibition, which will be at Harrogate from 12-14 September."
Reports into the cause of the fire from the relevant authorities have not yet been published.
