The Designjunction exhibition will run in June and will see the retailer's space transformed into a Scandinavian-themed pop-up exhibition and café experience, which will showcase the latest products from leading Danish, Swedish, Finnish and Norwegian brands, staged within a woodland-inspired setting.
The woodland space, created by Designjunction's in-house team, including creative director Michael Sodeau, will host a series of public and private events over the coming months, targeted at industry professionals such as architects, interior designers, members of the press and design enthusiasts from all across London.
The Scandinavian café will serve artisan coffee alongside a traditional Scandinavian menu. Dishes served will include smoked salmon on dark rye bread with pickles and dill, organic hot dogs served in brioche buns with crayfish salad, freshly made Norwegian waffles, fire-roasted marshmallow ice cream and artisan cloudberry jam doughnuts with vanilla sugar.
The Platform gallery, located on the first floor of the Habitat store, showcases design and serves as a space for brand creativity. The retailer is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
