Habbo launches Fantastic Four activity

LONDON - Habbo, the virtual world for teenagers, has launched a Fantastic Four Space Station to promote the DVD release of the film.

The deal, which was carried out in conjunction with Vizeum on behalf of 20th Century Fox, sees the creation of a virtual room themed around the storyline of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
Habbo members can chat and join the action of both the Fantastic Four Group and the Silver Surfer Group.
A series of in-game events and content, including a launch party, competitions, movie trailer and downloadable wallpaper one available.
Habbo.co.uk, which competes with sites such as Second Life, has 655,000 unique users  and generates more than 35 million page impressions per month, with an average session time of just over three hours, according to Nielsen//NetRatings.
Kathryn Maytham, digital account manager at Vizeum, said the idea behind the campaign was to “get children excited about the film, make the story come alive, and create a sense of playground word-of-mouth buzz”.
“Not only are we looking for engagement, but also feedback – in this environment we can gather views on both the movie itself and the Fantastic Four brand as a whole,” she added.
