The Guardian to produce supplements and microsites for VisitEngland

LONDON - The Guardian has signed a six-figure deal with VisitEngland to promote trips and activities around the UK.

The Guardian to produce supplements and microsites for VisitEngland

The Guardian will produce a series of supplements sponsored by the VisitEngland tourism board with the aim of inspiring readers to do more leisure activities around Britain.

The ‘Full English' series will start on Saturday and includes themes such as ‘ten minute treats', ‘the lunchtime challenge' and ‘weekend wonders'.

A microsite will support the series and include podcasts, video, and a link to twitter feeds from various cities. A mobile site will be launched so that readers can access further information from their mobile phone.

VisitEngland is aiming to promote ‘holidaying at home' through the campaign.
