The service, which partnered The Sun last year to provide 10 films every week for its website media player, is looking to expand its commercial operations after launching last year.
In this newly created role, Filler will report to chief executive Dan Thompson and acting UK managing director Rupert Ashe. Filler will be responsible for driving the commercial success of the website via advertising and content sponsorships. This will involve bespoke ad opportunities for brands to get involved with the video content and ads, alongside the existing VideoJug "how to" films.
The website has also hired a new online partnership and content acquisition manager in Christa Power, and has appointed a viral marketing co-ordinator, Robert Reeve.
