Green Flag inspired by car manuals for DRTV drive

LONDON - Breakdown cover provider Green Flag is launching a direct response TV campaign with a look inspired by the traditional car maintenance manuals.

The TV ads, which air from today, feature see-through diagrams and line drawings to promote the "technical expertise" of Green Flag's breakdown recovery professionals.

The spots show a Green Flag mechanic arriving promptly at the scene of a broken down car and using three key messages in the form of car parts to fix the car.

The messages reveal that Green Flag has an average response time of 30 minutes, a roadside repair rate of 84% and its prices start from just £25 online.

The campaign includes press and direct response TV, supported by direct mail and online activity throughout the year.

It was created by Mediacom Create and marks the agency's first TV campaign for Green Flag.

Mike Tildesley, marketing director for Green Flag, said: "This campaign aims to place Green Flag at the top of consumers' shopping lists when it comes to buying breakdown cover.

"The breakdown market features a number of traditional brands and the look of these ads gives Green Flag a modern face focused on low prices and outstanding service."
