The show has been designed to inform and inspire children to think differently about science and engineering, and will be central to the Learning Grid's three-day celebration of science and engineering taking place at Rockingham Motor Speedway from 30 June to 2 July.
Supported by government, industry, the wider engineering community and not-for-profit institutions, the Learning Grid identifies and supports hands-on curriculum enrichment activities designed to enthuse young people about science and engineering.
The brief for the show was to create a fast-paced and exciting event, based around science and technology, to dispel the myth that engineering is just to do with fixing cars and mechanics, as well as highlighting the varied possibilities a career in engineering can offer.
"Grass Roots has been appointed because it proved that it really understood our needs and objectives and took the time to do independent research into the image of engineering today," said Learning Grid sponsorship and communications director Ian Major. "We loved its rationale of showing ‘why' engineering has created so many things, not just ‘how' all the elements work."
"We are thrilled to be working on such a worthwhile project," said Grass Roots Live managing director Charles Moyle.
