The account is currently held by WARL Change Behaviour, which was appointed last year by marketing director Shaereen McKenzie, who subsequently quit the company at short notice in July 2003.
WARL was appointed by McKenzie after a bust-up with TBWA\London over the creative strategy for Gossard. She had hired TBWA shortly after joining Gossard in October 2001, letting go of Partners BDDH in the process.
McKenzie was replaced as Gossard marketing boss by Stephen Holbrook, who has been conducting a major review of agencies. He has appointed Media Planning Group to the media planning and buying account replacing PHD, and decided to retain incumbent PR agency Yellow Door.
WARL Change Behaviour will pitch for the work against two unnamed contenders. The brands up for grabs are Gossard, Berlei and Shock Absorber.
Holbrook said that the frequency with which Gossard has reviewed its advertising agencies was "not ideal", adding that he was not worried about getting a bad reputation.
"When you get new people in, they often review things and there have been a lot of new people over the past five or six years," he said.
He added that Gossard was planning new ideas for the brands in the second half of 2004 and said that the review would be finished in the next couple of months.
