
According to its 3Q results statement, Google's UK operation posted revenue of $765m, compared to $776m in the third quarter of 2008, when this total represented 14% of global revenue.
In 3Q 2009, revenue from outside the US totalled $3.14bn, representing 53% of total revenue.
Worldwide, Google's $5.94bn revenue in Q3 represented a 7% increase over 3Q 2008 revenues of $5.54bn.
Google-owned sites, such as YouTube, generated $3.96bn, or 67% of total revenue, in the third quarter of 2009. Google Network Revenues, generated from partner sites through AdSense, totalled $1.8bn, or 30% of total revenue, in the third quarter of 2009.
Its aggregate paid clicks, including those related to ads served on Google sites and its AdSense partners, increased approximately 14% over Q3 2008 and approximately 4% over Q2 2009.
Eric Schmidt, Google chief executive, said that while there was "a lot of uncertainty about the pace of economic recovery", the company believed the worst of the recession was over and it was now confident about making new investments.
