Google already has a deal with T-Mobile to appear on its mobile internet service homepage, but this is the first time it has signed an agreement with a handset maker.
The partnership is expected to be announced at the Consumer Electronics show this week. Earlier this week, Google's share price soared to a new high of $448 amid analyst forecasts that it would hit $600 during 2006.
Separately, Motorola has unveiled details of its iRadio service this week. The subscription service, costing between $7 and $10 a month, offers users 435 commercial-free radio channels, which can be played via a mobile phone, or in a car or stereo.
Motorola has developed a range of Bluetooth accessories to help iRadio connect with existing technology, including stereo headphones for on-the-go use, an adapter for a home stereo, and a wireless car kit compatible with car stereos from major manufacturers such as Pioneer, Alpine, Sony and Kenwood.
