The Google Personalised Home is initially being offered for users in the US, but the search giant plans to roll this service out internationally to Europe and Asia.
Google has optimised the service for smaller phone screens and slower bandwidth of most mobile phones and Blackberry-type PDA devices.
Those who already have Google accounts simply the search site's through the web browser of their mobile and select the "Personalised Home" link, then sign in with their Google account username and password.
The next time they visit Google on their phone, they will automatically see the same customised content modules that are featured on the web version of their Google personalised homepage. Google introduced the personalised home page for PC users last year.
Deep Nishar, Google's product manager for wireless services told Reuters, said: "A phone is a device you carry with you all the time. It is really an extension of people's personalities. We feel that is very important that the information you care about is just one click away."
The move extends Google's reach into a market that will be at the forefront of technological development as new services, such as video and other multimedia, and the ability to personalise that information and synch it with what people see on their PCs, is seen as very important.
