Research conducted by the Golf Show Group revealed in excess of one million golfers live within a 90-minute drive of EventCity, proving it was a "no brainer" to launch a show in Manchester.
The event will be supported by new retail partner Express Golf, and will take a similar format to its sister shows with informed technical advice, PGA tuition and education, guest interviews, simulators and the latest golf gadgets. It is hoped it will be given its own distinct feel with support from local clubs and brands.
Damian Benstead, managing director of the Golf Show Group, said: "Manchester has been on our radar for a number of years and now the time is right for us to expand. EventCity will provide a fantastic backdrop for us to engage with local golfers and so far all our feedback suggests it will be supported by both exhibitors and golfers alike."
EventCity is the second largest exhibition centre outside of London, spanning 28,000sqm next to The Trafford Centre.
Tickets for The Manchester Golf Show will go on sale to the general public early next year.
