LONDON - While official confirmation is still awaited, Go Racing is understood to have signed a definitive agreement for media rights to UK horseracing after late-night talks on the sticking point of the supply of pre-race data were resolved.
The British Horseracing Board is to hold a news conference later today to detail the agreement.
The two sides were at odds over the supply of pre-race data, which is crucial to Go Racing's ability to provide online services.
The BHB had threatened to scupper the £307m deal as it was worried about giving Go Racing lucrative rights to use of data on a range of new technologies, including mobile phones and handheld computers.
