Musgrave, who represented Great Britain at Sochi 2014 in cross country skiing, joins GMR to work on preparations for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. She will form part of the agency’s internationally-focused client team based in London.
Musgrave took the decision to retire from competitive skiing in order to pursue a career in sports marketing.
As athlete manager, she is currently researching and vetting potential athletes in target European markets for client Procter & Gamble’s Thank You, Mum campaign. Once the athletes are signed, Musgrave will be involved in co-ordinating and managing their appearances for the brand.
James Hunt, GMR’s managing director EMEA, said: "We’re delighted to welcome Posy to the agency. We pride ourselves on our Olympic heritage and Posy’s knowledge and experience of being a member of Team GB at the Sochi Games in 2014 will be a huge benefit to the team here as we build our client programmes for Rio."
Musgrave added: "I'm very lucky to have spent six years skiing and competing internationally. I'll miss my teammates, coaches and all of the great experiences I've had, but I'm looking forward to continuing to be involved in sport from a new angle as I start my role as athlete manager at GMR Marketing."
