The company shortlisted six agencies, including the incumbents, M&C Saatchi's digital arm, Play, and CHI & Partners, to pitch last August. In the past, the company has worked with a number of agencies, including Twentysix London and TBWA\Manchester on specific digital projects. CHI handled digital campaigns for RBS's retail division and credit cards, while Play produced digital advertising for both RBS and NatWest. RBS Group moved its retail direct marketing account into CHI from M&C Saatchi's direct marketing arm, Lida, in March.

CHI and Tag, the design and production agency, handle the direct account as a joint venture.
