
The activity, in association with Barclaycard, will promote the station's Summertime Ball. It will run across television, press and London Underground poster sites for four weeks from this weekend. The ads have been booked into high-profile spots including ITV1's Britain's Got Talent on Saturday (9 May).
Global Radio group marketing director Nicola Thomson said the campaign shows Global's "ongoing commitment" to maintaining Capital's position as "London's number one hit music station".
The campaign features an animation unveiling the artists due to perform at the first Summertime Ball, at the Arsenal Emirates Stadium on 7 June, which include Leona Lewis, Blue, The Saturdays and Lionel Richie. The event follows Global Radio's Jingle Bell Ball at the O2 arena last Christmas.
Last month, Global Radio and Publicis Groupe's MediaVest ended their relationship by mutual consent as the radio company called a review of its £2m media planning and buying business in the UK.
